hi i have 2 970 in sli...

the nvidia controll pannel says i have to connect the sli bridge for better performance... i already connectet the sli bridge and set the settings to maximum power...

my board is sli capable its the asrock z97 killer and  now i dont know what to do... 1 card is fully occupied at 1404mhz boost clock and the other one is sitting at 135mhz clock..

pls help...

Flip the cards around (so move the one at the top to the 2nd slot, and the one at the bottom to the 1st slot), and make sure that the sli cable is seated properly?

 

Also check which slots the cards are in, because if you put the 2nd card in the bottom most slot, it will be running at 4x speeds, which wont work.

 

Edit: try setting the physx setting to auto.

Are the PCI slots set up correctly in the bios?

there maybe some settings related to port configuration and PCI gen type, just check none are disabled.

 

Also try the card on its own make sure it isnt a doa

do you have a different bridge you can try? PCI power in both cards?

Drivers can be a large part of weird issues like this, because once my friend was testing a nvidia card on his amd system, and after he was done, the nvidia drivers conflicted somehow stopping the PC from booting.

 

Download the latest driver from nvidia, and check the box "perform clean installation" during the install.

btw. how did u configure ur sli setup? @stealth80

 

I added the second card to the slot after the waterblock,water bridge and connected the SLI bridge to the connections closest to the back of the case. Loaded windows > NVidia panel > max performance and it worked
