Front headphone jack not working

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

I plugged in the HD audio to the port and I cut off the AC97 port, It worked for a while but doesn't now, do I need to wrap the AC97 wires in electrical tape? Or what?

-Thanks in advance

It should work if the HD audio is properly connected, make sure the old wires from the AC97 aren't shorting each other out in any way.

I think you have to solder it, I may be wrong the electrical tape is worth a shot.
