4 partitions for windows 10

Donut417

I did an upgrade install of windows 10 about a week ago. Im doing a reformat install now. It made 4 partitions. One of which was 450 Mb and one was for the system like it did in windows 7 the 3rd was not very big and finally the 4 which is the primary. Why so many partitions?

I know the system one is important windows files. Is one used for windows reinstall? I noticed that with windows 8, where you hold shift and can get in to a recovery menu.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I believe one is for UEFI, another for the "C" drive, another for recovery... Not sure about the fourth.
