Ghetto File

So I was searching for a particularly rare album and I downloaded a pretty ghetto file. I've seen some strange files that will actually use installers to put music on certain places of a storage device, and that's why I ran this file in addition because I really wanted to get the rare album. So the second I ran the installer my anti virus and malware bytes went off the freaking walls screaming at this file. Exited the installer immediately and deleted the file. Ran full scans of malware bytes and anti virus. Just wondering, is there anything else I need to do to make sure my system's not infected? Is there anything else I need to do?

Do not ever download installers from an unknown source in the first place.

Also don't ever run them BEFORE doing an antivirus/malware scan on them if you end up downloading them.

I did a scan before hand malware bytes didn't detect anything and neither did the anti virus

Yea the installer file itself might not be harmful, but the shit it installs on your PC probably is.

Is there anything else. That I need to do.

If MBAM and anti virus say everything is clean it should be.

If you wanna be 150% sure everything is gone you can always go back to a previous restore-point
