Ready to buy parts for White/Red build?!

Hi all,

 

I am attempting my first PC build in about 15 years - boy things have changed!

 

I have already purchased some parts because I got great deals on them through boxing day sales. The monitor and such I will of course be re-using. My theme for the build is White with Red accents. Please let me know your honest thoughts! Have I missed anything?!

 

Already bought:

 

-Corsair Air 540 Case - Arctic White

-Corsair h100i GTX Liquid CPU Cooler

-LG 34UC97 21:9 1440p Monitor

-Ducky Shine 4 Keyboard (Grey)

 

Planning to buy today:

 

-Gigabyte z170x Gaming 7

-Intel 6700k

-G.Skillz Ripjaw 4 (Red) 2133 DDR4 -  2x8 + 2x8 = 32 gigs (only 200 bucks CAD for all the RAM!)

-Samsung 950 Pro 512 gig M.2 NVME

-Gigabyte 980 TI Windforce

 

Still need to decide on:

-A modular Power Supply

-Anything else??????????

Swap that Gigabyte card to EVGA or MSI card.

Swap that Gigabyte card to EVGA or MSI card.

The gigabyte one has an RGB lighting strip on the side and goes with the motherboard- it also happens to be a amazing overclocker.

I would buy an EVGA G1 and Corsair Vengeance M95

G1 has 5 year warranty, and it's old and terrible made by fsp!

 

G2 has 10 year warranty and it's far superior than G2, it's made by SuperFlower.

The G1 series of PSUs from EVGA is of terrible quality.
