DXTORY Frame drop?

I opened up DXTORY to change the settings and my FPS went from 60 to 15, I turned on my monitors FPS counter to understand, I have no idea why it does that. I have 16GB of RAM and quite a beefy PC.

what CPU do you have?

Intel i5-6600K@4.2GHz, 16GB Crucial DDR4-2133, Gigabyte Z170X-UD3, Be quiet shadow rock slim, Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC, Fractal design Integra M 550W, NZXT S340, Sandisk X110 128GB, WD black 750GB, Seagate momentus 160GB, HGST 160GB

Intel Core i7 4790K

to be completely honest

it works best on Hexa and Octa core CPU's

but it shouldnt be dropping to 15fps

When I open Fraps it does the exact same thing.

These programs are extremely demanding

that's confusing, have you tried different recording software, like the xbox app recording, shadowplay, or afterburners recording feature to see if it happens in those.

fraps does not drop fps to 15...

it drops fps but not that much.

Don't know what to say other then it does it to me

These programs (and codecs) are extremely optimized 

Use a built in FPS counter Most games have them, if they must record use OBS/XSplit

and make sure that in power options its set to High Performance

I tried OBS and Shadowplay, and it stays at 60fps
