the amd has 6 cores and 3.5 ghz

6 cores (in reality it only has four), doesn't equate to better performance. Trust the experts here, the i5 4460 is miles better. The clock speed doesn't matter much either (ghz).

Intel has superior technology that goes beyond paper.

6 cores doesn't mean it'll be better for gaming. The i5 is better in single-threaded performance and gaming. The 3.5Ghz is irrelevant; the i5 will still beat the AMD CPU.

Or pretty much any amd cpu as of now.

I bought an FX-6300 and I'm stuck with it until I get more money, and I regret the purchase to this day. It's a solid chip, but the 4460 is so much better for the price.

Intel has faster Instructions Per Second. Core amount is useless in Minecraft

but Intels IPS makes up roughly about 2x that performance from the ips gain per GHz

For expample 

AMD has about a .5 IPS while intel has about 1.75

so AMD would have a score on the 6300 of about 1.8 while intel would have a score of about 5.95
