Are SSHDs realy whort the money?
No. If you want the performance boost, just get a SSD. I've never used a SSHD and don't plan on ever doing so.
I second this. I personally manage gigabytes of files on my desktop on a weekly basis, which would easily exceed an SSHD's 8GB cache - causing the computer to have pretty sluggish performance at random times. If you do gaming on your PC, games like GTA won't benefit as it's 60GB in size and loading times definitely won't be sped up for that.
If you use your PC for mainly web browsing and editing powerpoints etc, you may see a slight benefit, but anything else and an SSHD is a waste of money from my point of view.
If you're looking to get a SSD and Hard Drive combo, look into the WD Black Squared. It has a 128GB SSD and a 1TB drive built-in to a small 2.5in form factor.
