When launching my pc at 4.7 ghz, it will sometimes not start up and freeze on the windows logo (Win 8.1) i have no idea what is causing this. It will happen for about 30 minutes and i wont be able to start up my pc. My computer would crash randomly not anymore. Blue screen of death as well, SSD, Fast launch on, GTX 660, 2600k 4.7 ghz. 8.1 64 bit

Its probably not a stable overclock.

 

It doesn't always have to crash at the same time to be unstable.

It was stable, ive been running it at the same oc for a year.

That doesn't mean its stable. You are running the CPU outside its manufacturers recommended specifications. There is no guarantee that the cpu won't degrade over time if you a running it beyond what was recommended.

Try booting into safe mode, if it doesn't work then try disabling your overclock.

Got it, i didnt have enough voltage.
