New X79 Build - work in progress

I am in the process of building a new rig. I decided to go x79 this time for video editing and rendering and I'm waiting to get a 4930k when it becomes available (hopefully early next month). Here are the components I am planning to use in my build:

Case: Fractacl Design R4 Titanium grey windowed

Motherboard: MSI X79A-GD45 Plus

Memory: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer (O/B ver.)

CPU Cooler: H100i

PSU: Seasonic 1000W Platinum

GPU: EVGA GTX 780 FTW with ACX cooler

SSD: 250GB Samsung 840 EVO

HDD: 2TB WD Black

Fans: Cooler Master 120mm Jetflo Blue (3)

I have everything prepared except for the CPU witch should be out shortly.

I am aiming for a black/grey colour scheme with blue accent lighting, Im also planning on doing black/grey cable sleeving also.

here's a pic of everything I have ordered so far, tell me what you guys think :)!!:

Looks like its gonna be fun! Hehe, Cheers!

My build: i5 3570k , Sabertooth Z77, Be quiet Dark Rock 2, Corsair vengeance 16 gb ram, Corsair RM 750, WD Black 1TB , ADATA 256 GB SSD, Asus 660ti DCUII, NZXT H440, Noctua NF-F12 & NF-A14.

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Why did you get the blue fans if you are going black/grey?

Good question, I decided to go for blue fans because I still wanted blue accent lighting for the system when its powered on so it matches all the other LEDs I have incorporated in my desk setup. Plus, I still wanted all the components to look uniform in color when the system was powered off.

Why have you gone for a budget liquid cooler? on a x79 build?

Its not like the h100i is bad or cheap. It does a great job for most use cases. Also custom loops cost a lot of money they have already spent a good bit on everything especially considering there graphics card cost almost 700$ already.

PC Specs: CPU: Intel i7 4770K / CPU COOLER: Corsair H100i / Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120Gig and Seagate Barracuda 1Tb / Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming-7 / GPU: EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX / Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 850watt / Case: Corsair 750D 680 Coaster

True although something like a swiftech h220 will get you much lower temps and be quieter with fans which are suited to it eg Noctua NF-F12.

I only suggest this because of the platform your using.

Temp difference is only 5c also considering you cant get the h220 in the USA anymore. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlPSGh26Ne0XdHZweHoxckRqazBvM0RTMW5GSFZNRmc#gid=0

Yeah, tbh it's mostly because of cost and the amount of maintenance a custom loop would accumulate. I decided on the h100i on those factors alone.

I build and service my PC all on my bed and carpet :P I don't think static is big enough an issue to worry about as long as you're constantly grounding yourself on the case (as I always do) :D

Personally I would have preferred white lights, but since it's your

build you're the one who has to like it. Very clean otherwise though

IMHO. :)

Yeah, I agree white would be nice but since the tactical tracers have blue LEDs I decided to go all blue.
