Windows video editors

i need a good video editor for windows 10. It says windows movie maker is not SUPPORTED on windows 10. what does that mean? can i still use it?

You can try it. You'll never get a good free video editor. On a budget, buy Sony Movie Studio Platinum on Steam (or disc). I have Sony Movie Platinum 12 on disc and it's actually very very good for the price. It's basically Vegas Pro with some advanced features removed.

You could probably get it working again with some registry edits. I had to do it with Photo viewer since they decided to replace it, the new photos app in windows 10 is garbage.

Seems like a lot of the older apps that were in previous versions of windows are still in windows 10 but there disabled and can be unlocked with registry edits.

Why? Just install Windows Essentials. You have Movie Maker and Photo Gallery. Photo Gallery is so much better than the PhotoViewer. You can view more formats, including RAW and TIFFs, you can edit (adjust) jpeg images, and you can better organize your pictures.
