Processor for a build

nunocv
Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

So let me see... For case, ram, psu, cpu and mobo 300€ Hdd and GPU I have some to give to her.

The build is made, most of it, but i dont know what cpu to put.

Nevertheless this is the build I thought:

-CPU

-MOBO

This two is what I am deciding, the mobo will depend onthe socket obviously, but it will be an ITX wifi mobo, so 100€ for it!

-8GB RAM - 45€

-XFX TS 430W - 50€

-CM Elite 130 - 45€

860K + A88X board + SSD

Im making a PC for my sister, she will be using Photoshop, and stuff like that from Adobe. Maybe playing some games too.

Should i put a X4 860K or a PEntium g3450? I wont be overclocking and It will have stock cooler and be in an ITX case!

Why did I study Haskell?

intel Cpus are better for computing but the G3450 is a dual core cpu, and the X4 860K have four cores, even so i still think that the G3450 would be better.

They perform pretty similarly.
i would recommend the Pentium, room for future upgrades is always a good thing.

An i3 much more ideal.

And you have room for upgrade down the road.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

860K is superior

Dual Cores are dead

Photoshop likes cores.

What's your budget? Because I could reccomend something like a 5960x but I am guessing your sister does not have that much money. How much money does your sister have to spend?

Btw, is 430W enough for 860k and r7 360 or gtx 750ti later on?

it's fine. 360 uses 100W
