I set in windows settings to have aplications install onto my hard drive, but they still install onto my SSD.

How do I fix this?

Series of steps. Basically copy it over, then symbolic link the original location to the new.

I can move them, the problem is any application installs to my SSD instead of my HDD, even though I set the settings to install it on my HDD.

Can I just move my program files folder to my hard drive?

Did you do the symbolic link step though? Simply moving isn't enough, as Metro will just re-create the folder when you install another app. Symbolic link tricks Metro by telling it it's in the original location, but that simply links to another location. As far as Metro is concerned, there's little difference.

If you have no apps installed, there's a registry edit you can do as well. Remove all apps installed, then do the registry edit, then reinstall the apps.

However, before doing so, be advised that this will only work if there’s no Metro app installed on your machine.

That is probably why. Computers come with a few Metro apps built in.

May want to specify in the OP then, since Applications has more than one meaning now.

Which applications? Most allow you to manually change the install directory, some do not. There's a registry edit for that too: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/how-do-you-change-the-default-installation/73450b25-d794-4f18-9add-75253b893343?auth=1 If you've done the registry edit and it doesn't work, and the application doesn't have the option to choose a custom install location, then you're stuck.
