Hi my name is Max,

I am making a build for a friend of mine.

  • The build has to be under €3000. (Dutch)
  • The color scheme is Red and Black
  • It is for a beginner gamer with a normal overclock on the CPU and GPU

I would like to have you opinion about the parts. Do you think I should change anything?

Because of the higher base clock and the fact that most games do use many cores, an i7-6700K will be better for a gaming build.

Unless indicated otherwise, all parts are sourced from alternate.nl. One may find better pricing elsewhere.

The larger psu is to allow for a second gpu. The motherboard is probably much more than needed. But it looks really good and has some great features.

Whow thank for the research! I just change my list to skylake : https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TheOfficialMax/saved/prTypg.

I don't think the M.2 SSD is is worth it 500GB vs 1TB for the same price. But thank for you opinion.

It comes down to which is of more value to the user of the build: up to 32Gb/sec performance or twice the storage at 6Gb/sec. The added performance will not really be noticeable in gaming.
