New CPU running a bit hot

I just got a new CPU for christmas an I7-4790k. I am using the stock cooler from intel and get around 50c idle and around 80c+ while playing just cause 3 is this just because the stock fan is total garbage or is there something i have done wrong during the installation prosess?

Added a picture of the temperature while idle, dont know if it will help.

The 4790K is a hot chip and the stock cooler doesn't handle heat as well as an aftermarket.  I would expect those temperatures.

Seems normal considering how low quality the stock cooler and its thermal paste are.

4790k is known to be pretty hot

and since you have a stock cooler i wouldn't worry too much, high temps are normal

Intel's stock coolers are good for i3, stock i5, but not for i7

The 4790K on stock cooling will thermal throttle under load.

Buy a 212 EVO.

Thanks for the quick responses I will probably buy a new cpu cooler. Hopefully that will help. But will I do any damage to the cpu gaming with the stock cooler at the 80c+ or will it be fine?
