Asus 170-A vs ASRock Extreme 4

WildCAt

sooo

Which one will serve me for a long time?

Asus 170-A

or

ASRock Extreme 4?

It'll work with 6500 with OC and laaater with i7

1-2 HDD

1 GPU

Both have 10 phases, but ASRock is 6+4 and Asus is 8+2

Can't decide which to buy :(

Please, give your opinion, but explain why. "I like Asus/ASRock" - is not as argument...

I have Z170 ar (which is brother of the z170 a) and I like it because of the cost and how it looks. One thing I don't like is the I/O shield though, even though it's not really an important part. I don't know much of the asrock. Also something I recommend doing is if you're getting windows 10 you should update the bios on which ever one you get because you can get BSOD with z170 and windows 10 I believe.

Extreme4 all day, I had a Z77 Extreme4 and ran it at 5ghz 24/7 on a 3770k and would do 5.4-.5 runs for HWBOT and wouldn't break a sweat.

PEWDIEPIE DONT CROSS THAT BRIDGE

I've running a Z77 Pro3 for 2 years now with no issue, so I'd probably lean towards the ASRock side.

The Cheap SFF Wonder -- Turning a Core 2 Duo SFF machine into a useful member of computer society!

i5 3570 -- AS.Rock Z77 Pro3 -- 12GB DDR3 -- R9 380X -- 840Evo 500GB/1TB HDD

I speak the honest truth with a bit of snark mixed in. I'm sorry if it doesn't line up with your beliefs.
