RAM     6GB DDR2

OS        Win7 Ult. 64-bit

PSU      Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-850 watt \

Edit** Driver: High Definition Audio Device Ver, 6.1.7601.17514 By: Microsof

NOTE** Could not find any BIOS updates for my board

-=[Problem]=-

The problem is that when i try and play sounds through my computer they come out scrambled and distorted. However every now and then it will go back to normal. NOTE** I test my sound through the use of You-tube and the audio test in the "sound" portion of the control panel.

Things i have done:

1) Checked all my connections and that they are properly working.

2) Updated my drivers to the best of my abilities

NOTE** I have no idea which drive my computer is actually using

3) Restarted the computer in hopes of some miracle fix ;)

==========================================================================

I am posting this here in hopes of getting some other opinions on what might be wrong

My system is not exactly a "normal" setup as it does not have a case and is constantly changing however this is the first time i have had sound problems with it.

Please Help

Sincerely,

Majere[Your Friendly Computer Geek]

I was looking around for a newer one

doesn't look like theres anything newer then 6585

so hopefully that one works

looks like there is a slighty newer one here

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19199/Audio-SoundMAX-Audio-Driver

however you would probably have to mod the driver to get it to work

This has solved the audio problem for now but there is now a slight bit of feed back in the back ground not sure what that is about i am checking my connections at the moment. It sounds like static

not surprising..that driver was made for win 7...could try the 6620 if you know how to mod a driver

your best option is to disable the onboard audio and just buy a cheap soundcard thats properly supported in win 10
