Everyone always says to buy windows keys off reddit to save money. How do this work? Do you get your own unique key?

I prefer Kinguin. All retailers I contacted at reddit used some third party payment method I didn't trust at all.

Most the time yes, however the source of the key is unknown(so there is a chance of buying a stolen key).

Ah. I only hear about it haha. I have so many 7/8 keys that never even bothered to look

The way it works is that they get keys for cheap from other regions such as russia or china where windows is cheaper.

 

If you go with one the sellers thats reputable you should be fine. There is always risk but plenty of people have had good experiences.
