Hyperthreading for daily tasks and CPU demanding games, and a GPU able to play any game without worry unlike the 390. I'd build it.

Well thank you,I think this is the build i've been looking for..as i saw the case is big enough and i will be able to upgrade PC if needed.

Thank you

What do you mean unlike the 390? The 390 performs slightly better in the majority of benchmarks.

I would consider getting the 390. Slightly better performance, more vram = more longevity.

No. the 970 performs better in a number of games if fps is your main concern. And a majority of games if stability is your main concern. The 970 also has driver support, which the 390 does not enjoy.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Prove it. 9 out of 10 times I see the 390 ahead. AMD's drivers are on-par if not better than Nvidia's.

And before you say it the Crimson driver breaks the compass so you ether have to use the mod that fixes the compass but puts the fps back to where they were. Or live without a compass.

The mod works great for me and I'm getting good framerates on my 390.

The 970 gets GREAT frame rates in comparison. :D

There's also the more stable frame rate in GTA V, Witcher 3, Just Cause 3. The 970 offers more stable performance with fewer dropped frames. And I've had more crashes with 15.12 than my computer has had it's entire life before hand and all of the crashes are logged by Windows as driver crashes. So no, AMD drivers are not as good as Nvidia drivers.

Nope, the framerates I'm getting are on par with the 970. And the port isn't all that great to begin with. I get fantastic framerates in Witcher 3 and GTA V. Don't have JC3 because I don't like simple-minded garbage. Plus, it's well known that the game runs bad on all platforms. I had some crashes with the Radeon app but 15.12 has completely fixed that for me. I haven't had any game crashes at all even before 15.12.

Oh, guess what? Nvidia's drivers crash too. Just go look at the Geforce forum. Yes, they are. And that's a fact.

Guys...please

I am a newbie,so could you agree on what should i get, since i want to go for games like GTA V ,Witcher and i don't even want to rush for ULTRA SETTINGS 600 FPS,i just wanna enjoy so high or even medium won't kill me :)

You'll get good frames with both cards on high/ultra for most games. The 390 just performs slightly better. But, again, double the vram means more longevity.

How do you know your fps are the same as a 970? Literally every professional tester agrees that Fallout 4 runs better on Nvidia graphics cards, are you saying that they're wrong?

It can only benifet from that memory if it has the power to use it, and the drivers that allow it to use it's power. My 290 has 4g of VRAM, do you really think that matters? I use over 4g of memory all the time modding Fallout 4, if I didn't have Afterburner running to tell me it happened I'd never know.

No worries, it's a friendly debate. Ether card will work very well and keep you happy for years of gaming to come :D
