All RAM being used

just turned on my computer and it was being slow so i check task manager and windows explorer is using 6,000,000 k memory which is basically all my ram (i have 8gb), why is it doing this? nothing is open and it was fine last night

Memory leak. Something's gone to shit in your windows install iirc. (At least, that's what I've read on other threads similar to this).

Repair or reinstall would be the best bet

start your pc in safe mode and then you have to stop all your programs from stopping at startup. so to do that hit windows button +R then type MSCONFIG and select diagnostic startup or selective startup  and from there you can pick and choose what programs to start and you can figure out what is eating your memory up. and or run a antivirus or malware scanner.

 

if you have windows 10 you can do this from the task manager on the startup tab.

after restarting my computer it has returned to normal, is that strange or just me? doesnt matter too much though im doing a fresh install when i get my ssd
