Laptop freeze, 100% CPU

Hello my fellow LTT fans,

I forgot my old account called SuperStroopwafel, doubt anyone remembers me but whatever.

I have a friend with a laptop and it keeps freezing, she needs it for her study and can't work like this. She asked me if I could take a look at it. After doing some tests I found out he CPU is always running at 100%.

The CPU she has is a Intel Celeron N2808. I think its clocked at around 2Ghz.

How can I prevent this?

Thanks

Disable all useless programs that she has running, do a virus scan. If then the problem is still there, do a complete reinstall of windows.

Issue is OS. Most likely its loaded with viruses and/malwares which hogs resources. Files might also be corrupt. I suggest a clean install. Lets see if viruses can survive a format....
