Need help with recording software,

My son, has a i7 980x with r9 290 12gb ram, he is trying to record using fraps/game dvr/ obs, nun of them give him good fps, they all stutter when recording, what could be the prob here ???

his os is on a 120gb ssd and he is recording on a 7200rpm 500gb hdd. via sata 2 6gbps

Is he lagging in the game?

What is the bitrate he is trying to record at? Easy to make any cpu recording lag if you have the bitrate too high.

nope csgo gets 299fps and with recording it gets 40-20 with stuttering

the same never over 30% when playing csgo and 35% when recording its a 6 core i7, i dont think its the cpu

Okay so it is likely something in the software. I don't know fraps well enough to help but try playing around in there and see what you can figure out.

Its not 1 software, its all of them, OBS AMD GAME DVR they all lag................

You'll need to lower both bitrate/resolution from recording software and maybe some graphic settings from game too. CPU should be enough for it, but not when everything is maxed out. If it has fps drops, problem is with bitrate.

use obs with vce
