Hey dudes! I'm really not hard drive friendly, I don't have a huge knowledge in them! So hopefully some of you dudes who view this thread/post could help me out!! Currently I have 2 hard drives, these are my hard drives!

Hard Drive #1: WD BLUE 500GB

Hard Drive #2: WD BLUE 320GB

They have been great for me no issues but, now I'm looking for WAY more storage! I'm running out of space on these 2 hard drives, and even (2) external hard drives I have, I'm looking to get something in the 2~3TB Range, I'm looking to replace both of my hard drives with something new! A 2~3TB HDD, I'm looking to spend $150 or less on these hard drives (Each)! Please comment some good ones! I was looking at the WD RED 3TB now 100% sure if that's a good one for the price I'm spending! If I could spend less than $150 each it would be even better! Thanks in advance for helping!

Idea of this thread: Trying to find (2) better hard drives than my current, must be 2~3TB in space.

Looking to spend $150 or less, less would be great!!

For the amount of space he'll be wanting/needing it'll have to be a barracuda.

You can get them at newegg, just search it. A NAS is network attached storage and is a file storage system that usually uses the local network to store files

Will probably be faster but not noticible. If you are looking for speed get an SSD

The Seagate Barracuda 3TB = $134

The WD Green 3TB = $139

Which do I choose? Haaaaalp! :D

I would go with the WD, I'm not a WD fanboy or anything, it's just the Green is a great drive, very reliable and uses SO little power due to being well ... A Green drive.

I'd go with the 3TB Seagate Barracude. WD Greens just arn't fast enough and Blues dont go past 1TB

EDIT: And yes, Seagate is known for good reliability.

I would go with Barracuda because it performs better than the Green drive. I have been using Seagate drives for my builds and none of them have failed yet.

Barracuda--considerably better performance.
