Depends on what you're streaming at.

Say you do 1080p60 10000kbps, then you'd need something along the lines of an FX-8320 or a Xeon E3-1231v3

ive got a question about streaming, if i would want to have 2 pcs..1 for gaming the other one for streaming, how much of a beast would the streaming one need to be? (like specs?)

Thank you

Depends on what your streaming, but anything with at least a decent quad-core processor (i5) and anything from like a GTX700 series and up would be a really good starting stream encoding build.

I stream every now and then and before I upgraded, i had an i5 4670 and a gtx 760 and I could play at 1080p 60fps and stream at 720p just fine, but the streaming at 720p was a software limitation, not hardware.

im planning on streaming at 720p and 30 fps ( not a partner so can only stream at 30)

Wait what? You can't stream Twitch at 720p60 if you aren't a partner? That's bullshit

You can stream and play on the same PC if its good enough. I currently have an i5-6600k and a GTX 960 and I can stream 720p and play anything at 1080p 60fps max settings at the same time. So, a decent single computer is all you really need.

those are my specs atm. i tried streaming the other that Black desert online and for some reason OBS was full red about cpu issues.

i know and even with the specs i have on it ( check my profile) it puts alot of stress on my pc and the stream quality could be better)

its probably the software you're using then because that PC can stream perfectly fine

I've streamed at full quality before with a PC worst than that and shadowplay worked perfectly, barely any performance impact

so no, its not your PC, its your software and configuration

also upgrading that second PC to stream will cost more than just a few additions to your main PC

which would give you even better quality than using a second PC

Strange. I don't know about OBS honestly. I use Shadowplay built into the NVIDIA GPUs and it works just fine for me and my CPU usage stays at about 50% at the most

thats what i heard at least. that if ur not a partner ur frames are limited to 30.

I believe I've done 60fps before and I'm nowhere close to being a partner

If he already has the parts then putting a capture card in the old pc and using that as the uploader would pretty much remove his issues and he could stream at higher quality.

I mean unless all the other streamers with dual setups and crystal clear streams are just doing it wrong, you should probably get messaging them so they can save money.

I stream with Shadowplay and I know that limits you to 720p 30fps but its much less of a performance hit than OBS or Xsplit.

Eh. Shadowplay ain't worth using when OBS outclasses it in almost every way.
