Finished my first build and it didn't explode!

Sloppyhail

The build has been finished for about two weeks now and I have been getting around 22c idle and 40c under load for my CPU, and my GPU (EVGA Gtx 660 FTW) has maxed at 66C. I went with,

-I5 6600K

-Cryorig H7 (with Artic Silver)

-Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3

-EVGA Gtx 660 FTW

-Evga 600B

-NZXT Source 210 Black and two extra NZXT Fn 120 v2 fans (Pull in front, Pull on top and Push rear)

-I recycled a dvd drive (no idea what, its the same color, it fits and it works...)

-two WD 500 gb HDD's in raid for storage

-Intel 730 240 Gb SSD for games

-Windows 10 (its like switching from boxers to boxer briefs, i know everything is there, it's just in a different place and doesn't feel familiar)

-Asus VG248QE

The peripherals are not worth mentioning, I will be upgrading them soon along with the GPU, not sure what i should go with just yet.

The cable management was a little barren in this case and moving around is a little tight but i wanted to save money and it was on sale, couldn't pass up the opportunity. It felt good to build a computer after tearing a few down as a child with my father, feels good to be back home.

nice build, keep in mind not to OC with that psu, otherwise it may go boom...

:P other than that looks solid

Agreed, after upgrading the GPU i should be set for awhile. When I need to OC, or want to, the psu will be upgraded, and hopefully by then I will have my significant other on board with building her a pc so i can just use this psu.

Not the best PSU but I like it.

It is not really that bad, but with that being said when the system requires more it will be upgraded.

Thank you for the feedback.

It has been running strong for awhile, I have not had a problem with it at all, great card. I will have to look into OC'ing the card over the coming holidays, i read the FTW edition didn;t give that much room for OC'ing but i will look into it again.

Cheers! and happy holidays.
