Yo,

My rig consists of:

  • Mobo= Gigabyte AM3+ 78lmt-usb3
  • GPU= Asus Turbo GTX 960
  • CPU= FX-4300
  • RAM= 8Gb 1333Mhz (speed is slow because mobo is crappy)
  • SSD= 128Gb (OS and essential files)
  • HD= 750Gb
  • PSU= 500w
  • OS= windows 10

so im not sure what my problem is, basically i get very poor performance in certain games which isnt consistent with other games.  for example i get 80-100fps on CSGO 1080p and a similar story for TF2, however shadow of mordor gives me 75fps on high settings 1080p (although it crashes like a B**ch).  then other games like battlefield 4 aren't changing in fps at all when i alter my settings.  the only noteworthy info i can give is that my drivers are up to date and i sometimes run shadow play (although the problems incurs whether this is on or not).

i can appreciate i haven't given much info but this is all i have to give, i'll try to reply if anyone needs to know something more to help.

thanks for the help

check your temperatures and cpu/gpu usage.   you're almost certainly getting bottlenecked

Like what kind of less intensive games?

CS:GO? Minecraft?

i mean that shadow of mordor performs how youd expect for my gpu.  however csgo is abotu 120-140 fps behind where it should be.  should SofM not be hit harder by a cpu bottlenck than csgo?

cpu intensive games/gpu intensive games............. middling cpu/middling gpu. lower you settings in mordor your hardware can't handle the game.

i dont know what you're trying to say here? my gtx960 is ample for shadow of mordor and this is proven in the fact that i get 75fps on high settings.  what im saying is why would an intensive game like this not be affected by the fx-4300 whereas csgo and other games are majorly affected by it?
