Budget- trying to keep it under 1500$ usd (this is without os and peripherals)

im saving for a computer and this is what i put together in pcpartpicker. going for a black/white build because i fell in love with the msi krait boards when i found them on newegg. as for overclocking i don't know how to do it, so there is a good chance it wont happen, atleast not right away.. so what are your thoughts?the psu comes with black cabling, so if i want white, do i buy sleeving and just slide it on or do i get pre sleeved stuff like this?  https://www.pccasegear.com/products/29075

this is going to be my personal pc, and ill be playing games, watching videos and surfing the web. and the occasional use of SAI and photoshop.
for ram im thinking of either the 2x8gb hyperX fury white kit or a 2x4gb of hyperX black kit and a 2x4gb hyperX white kit (would the black and white set work? using 1600 ddr3 kits same timings)

also if you can think of any easy case mods i would love to hear them. i plan on getting a msi krait vinyl decal for either the back side or front panel. and little ones for the center of the fans. i want to do something simple with white led lights and a msi krait snake logo, but cant think of anything.

so......thoughts?
wont be built till late 2016 so i have time to tinker with it.

Not much point in putting a PC together now, what's your current PC?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

my current pc is

cpu- g2030

gpu- 7770

motherboard- gigabyte ultra durable 4 classic

ram- 8gm g.skill ripjaws

psu-corsair cx500

hdd-seagate barracuda 500gb

the reason for the xfx 290 is mainly because i like how it looks. the light up xfx and and black with chrome trim is just awesome.

and when i say late 2016 it all depends on how many hours i get at work and how i save my money. i don't have bills, so i could take 3-4 months to save enough or like i said late 2016.

my current pc is

Well my suggestion is to reject aesthetics until your budget is unlimited

Otherwise you should really just maybe upgrade your CPU, maybe throw in an SSD 480gb is like $130 right now, and then you're good to go on that front,

After that I'd suggest you get a new PSU/GPU and Add in a free-sync display of some kind, either 144hz 1440p or the 4k IPS displays that are around 500, that upgrade would probably run about $1000 and you'd be set as far as gaming goes for a long while, your CPU isn't going to hold back games if you upgrade to an i5

i5s are apparently about $150 used on amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-3570K-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B007SZ0E1K

Of course by next year kaby lake and zen might be out, as well as HBM2 GPUs, and probably new cheaper free-sync displays, so again, not too much point in planning now, save up like a couple grand for next year's black friday and by all your stuff then

get a 390 by powercolor/xfx to match the build.

also take a look at Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mark S, it will fit the build even better.

i looked at the sabertooth when i was first considering building a new pc, i just did not like it for some reason. but im thinking i might go with the xfx390. thanks.

i might wait till then. i just felt, if i dont start this now, it may never get done xD grabbing that i5 for my current pc does sound like a good idea. and i do plan on giving this pc to my brother once i upgrade. so thats nice, what gpu(amd if possible) and psu would you recommend for my current pc?

and if the new stuff is out by then, i can either plan to build with that or maybe the price will go down for the stuff im thinking of using.

there's the starter upgrade pack anyways, I think you can find the display for less with a google search, and maybe someone will release a 1440p IPS 60hz Free-sync display sometime next year, that'd be about the perfect display to get

this one's 1080p 21:9 IPS, the other option at around the same price is 1080p 144hz TN

I would recommend going skylake if you have this big of a budget. However, the Z170 krait motherboards from MSI are not on pcpartpicker. So I requested they put them on and they should be there in one or two days. Then I can recommend some parts for a skylake build.

this is very helpful, i just love the msi krait board/theme. which is what i want to build my system around. and having both a 1150 and 1151 option for when i do upgrade will be nice.
