LED Strips help!

Hi guys!

I want to add som LED strips to my gaming setup. I want to put them here and there and I saw a 5m RGB LED strip that you can cut to what ever length you want. My question is what do you do with the other part can you still use it or is it trash?

Well for the kits you can always get another RGB controller and have it as ambient /room lighting since you will have a lot of extra from a 5M roll. Another option is to add an extension out of the case to have it as background lighting say behind the monitors to be the same color/mode as the case lighting.
