Laptop shutdown

Kramal6

Hey there

Me and my friends were playing CSS, and all of a sudden of my friends laptop's fan started rattling. It's a one year old msi ge60. I tried to disassemble it and see if anything got caught in the fan but it looked fine. We tried to start it up again and he got and error which said "logfile c /windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt" and windows repair tool can't repair it... The fan is no big deal i can order and install a new one but the pc wont start, any of you got some tips on what to do?

Thanks in advance.

Try removing the battery and press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds, if the battery is not removable then it's best not to try it as it may void your warranty, instead send it to claim the warranty. Probably some hardware defects ( such as the motherboard died)

we don't currently have the option to do that :/

and the warranty is voided when we opened it (not from US either, we're from Denmark)

If you can access the hard drive via a Linux disk or a boot disk, you can try to delete the file

The pc won't turn on, how is he going to acess it using linux?

You shouldn't open a laptop lol :)

I'm also not from the US.

What does it specifically say when you start the laptop?
