Hello guys! I want to ask  if i have a motherboard Asus P5Q PRO and a Q9300 it s worth to buy more than 8 gb DDR2 800Mhz or 8GB DDR2 1066MHZ(improve so much performance?) ... I already have 4gb DDR2 800Mhz. And what is the best videocard for this? (I don't really play games and i have Asus ROG 750 laptop but i'm more interested to play mkv 1080p, bluray video and maybe i can play 3d movies too in this standard?)

Speed on RAM doesn't matter too much, but 8GB will be a definite improvement.

As for video card, go for something like an r7 250 or 240, or a used 660.

Snorlax: i7 5820k @4.5ghz, Asus X99 Pro, 32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Samsung 850 evo 500gb, Asus GTX 1080 ROG Strix, Corsair RM850x, NZXT H440, Hue+

Smallsnor: Huawei Matebook X

Really, really, wrong. There's a reason we overclock our ram buddy.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
