2GB will still, most likely, be fine for BF4 at 144FPS however, more never hurts.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

2Gb will be cutting it close, and you'll need a good bit of horsepower to drive over half that framerate. a 970 would be more than enough and would be able to keep up with the framerates you're looking for.

AMD is the king of BF4. An R9 390 would most likely get the performance you're looking for.

I used to be quite active here.

256MB will be fine.

Since 144hz does not rely on memory now does it...

Nvidia actually does better at BF4 for some reason. AMD does better at FarCry 4 which is a GameWorks game. These 2 games don't follow the norm for some reason when it comes to games that were partnered with a GPU vendor.

Oh.. I'm talking about with Mantle, but then I launched BF4 and realized that they took out Mantle completely.

Really?

I thought they had just stopped development for mantle, but left it in games using it.

Well, Mantle was a complete API. It was put into Battlefield 4 and offered better visuals and performance on AMD hardware, since it was a really solid low-level API. Problem is that it was Radeon only, so that may be why it died.

DX12 is a whole lot like Mantle, though it's better since it can run on any hardware. The Mantle likeness is why it runs so much better on Radeon GPUs.

I know that, bit i thought amd had just abandoned mantle, and didn't remove the api from bf4, thief etc.
