Swap PSU for something like Seasonic or XFX. And I would not recommend Gigabyte 970, coilwhine is a problem sometimes. Get EVGA or MSI.

My friend has the g1 970, and he has had no problems. I would say the gigabyte 970 is fine.

Agreed on the PSU side of things :)

My friend has the g1 970, and he has had no problems. I would say the gigabyte 970 is fine.

Sure, not each Gigabyte variant is shit, but most of them are. I tested a couple. And trust me 4 out of 10 are pretty bad coilwhiners.

Give me a boost.

Shure, ive only had one gigabyte 970 in my hands so you probably know better than be.

Switch the Psu for another Corsair one or Seasonic , Superflower 

And Get a 390 over the 970 it performs better and and has more vram
