Ok so my front audio gets interference so i unscrewed the front audio module off the case and the interference sounds were gone, as soon as the module came in contact with the case, it started the interferance. Any ideas for a fix, below is a pic of the frpnt audio module unattachedb9ea12f26352ad4c8425aa1e65f1e580.jpg from the case

leave it not touching the case?

or maybe use some tape/plastic between it and the case when you put it in?

This^ A little electrical tape or some rubber in between would stop electric transfer, most likely solving the issue

But when i screw it back wouldn't the screws make the connection?

Yes, if your screwing it back onto the case, unless you use plastic screws, and cover the rest that makes contact.

I will insulate the studs that the pcb is mounted too bc they are connected to tge housing witch is connected to the case

protip: two cable times makes for a very easy insulated connection.

Good idea, doubt the way it mounts that will work but ill give it a try

The audio pcb is mounted in a separate case screwed onto the front under the case front cover. There are 2 screw holes that had a plated metal ring around them that attaches the pcb inside the metal housing witch is screwed onto the case. I put electrical tape on the screw holes to cover the metal ring contacts and forced the screws through and secured them back into the housing witch i then screwed to the case. No more interference as insulating the screw holes stopped interference from the case getting to the screw contacts on the pcb. My question is why would there be a metal contact around the screw holes? Is it safe to cover, does the front audio /usb have a different way of grounding

I have never worried about grounding the 3.5mm audio jacks, nut then i neverRhad an audio issue on emf noise. Unless you are using powered audio devices on your front panel, i wont worry about it.

Basically headphones. Also usb is on the front panel and still functions there are black wires coming from the usb and audio headers to the front side panel so i assume the case grounding was just there because why not
