Fed up with KRCS

My iPad Pro is on backorder and stock will not arrive until 6th Jan. My school will restart on 8th Jan and i need it for school. Found one on eBay for £20 cheaper with 2 day delivery. However, my dad argues that i should wait an extra month for "an extra year of warranty". IDC about it cos it is not directly from Apple, and is done at one of the KRCS stores. I will be ditching the iPad in 3 years when i am well into uni anyway, as hardware will become obsolete and i can get student discounts for even cheaper deals. 

Should i tell my dad to order the one from eBay or wait for the one on KRCS cos he says that an extra year of warranty is worth an extra month waiting.

I wouldnt care if it was for personal use, but since i am getting it for school it does matter.

I would wait. Apple is great when it comes to warranties. Like one of the best companies. Although for school I would recommend a something like a Surface. They are great for just document typing and note taking.

I got this on a discount, which makes it £200 cheaper than the entry Surface Pro 4. So should i wait? Will the extra year of KRCS Repari Centre warranty be worth it?
