Seems like a faulty driver or software install. Boot it up in safe mode and remove your motherboard drivers, then restart and re-install them. Make sure to actually re-download them in case they got corrupted on the initial download.

When in doubt, re-format.

IRQ is responsible for all things (cards, devices) that want to communicate with the CPU. Getting an IRQ bsod can mean several things, but a lot of the time it is due to driver problems. IIRC it can also be related to a corruption in your kernel, and maybe even the mobo. I could be wrong about those.

Here is a guide I found on Tom's about dealing with that specific bsod.

If that doesnt help, a re-install may be in order. If you are using a DVD, it may be that that specific disc is corrupt and no es bueno. Download the ISO for your particular version of windows from MS and re-install that way.

When in doubt, re-format.

I understand "disk" and "disk drive" here to refer to an optical disc, as in a dvd, correct?

I read everything just fine. Use proper sentences, and be more specific.

Your pcpartpicker list does not specify any drives besides the SSD, so what drive did you clone from? If you cloned a corrupt install to a new drive, the OS will still be corrupt.

It works with no expansion cards because no (or less than if you had cards) IRQ calls are being made.

When in doubt, re-format.
