What is a good processor for me to be getting with a £200 ($300) budget?

I was thinking maybe a i5-4690 or a 4690k to overclock with water cooling, but i'm not very sure.

Also if possible what gpu shall i get to accompany it? Also with a £200 ($300) budget.

Thanks.

If you get the i5-4690K, you'll have to get an Z97 MoBo, which adds to the cost again. If you didn't already account for that, get the i5-4460 It's a really good CPU for the money. For the gpu, I think the GTX 960 is about 200£, not sure though, otherwhise get an R9-380... Remember that tese are my speculaions, I don't know how prices are in your area...

I have took into account for the board and a R9-380 is about £200 but i was thinking about whether amd or Nvidia as i used to own a 7770 but now i own a Gtx 750TI and is out performing my previous gpu and seems how much cheaper the 960 is i'm probably going to opt for this. And also maybe stretch my bank and pay an extra £100-£150 for a sli set up?

Are you looking at the 2GB or 4GB 960? Because the 2GB one is useless... https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-axr93804gbd5ppdhe - £162 for an R9 380 that performs better than the 960 (10-15% better) and has 4GB.

I don't recommend going with an SLI config on those cards, get a 970 If you can... 2 960's just isn't worth it, It'll give you more stutters than anything

380 is better. SLI is not worth it.

Considering the 4790k is cheaper than the 6600k in the us in a lot of places, check and see if you cant find that.
