What is with Windows

When I put some applications into a folder the little thumbnail for it disappears, it just becomes this blank white square

These apps are both in the same folder so as you can see it only does it to some that I put in there. I don't really know what the problem is so if anyone could tell me that would be great thanks.

shortcut shouldn't really loose its icon

if you check the properties does it show the correct path?

When I go into the control panel and take a look at my installed programs, some of my applications have the blank white logo as well... why..?

corrupted installs

The path was correct, and I thought about the corrupted install thing, but I have like 12 shortcuts in that folder and 9 out of 12 of them have no icon. But that's not to say that I didn't just get really unlucky.

there may be virus, try booting into safe mode and run an antivirus scan and malwarebytes scan
