hiya LTT 

 

so i have a evga 4gb gtx 770 and my friend has a evga 4gb gtx 970. We often play games with each other (AAA to inde games) and i always seem to be able to play games on higher settings with better framerates. is this a know thing, or is my 770 a special one lol.

 

CPU- Intel i9 9900k | Motherboard- ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I | RAM- Kingston HyperX 32GB | GPU- Nvidia 2080ti Reference

Case- NCase v6.1 | Storage- x2 2tb WD m.2  | PSU- Corsair SF750 | Cooling- NZXT Kraken X52

Is your 770 overclocked?

Also just stating the GPU alone is not very good, what is his other specs? It could be a bottleneck possibly.

 He has a i5 4690 and i have a i7 4770. nothing is overclocked for both of us

Could be another issue like out of date drivers, he could have some type of Trojan, virus ect, possible bloatware. I notice my gameplay isn't as smooth with skype open for example.

whats his vram?

VRAM or Ram?

The gTX 970 has 4GBs ( Screw you 3.5 people, it is still there )

If RAM probably 8GBs.
