right now I am wrestling with the decision between ice cream and exercise.

I just found a sale for cans at my local store that ends in 2 days.

ATH-M50's Red edition USD144

ATH-AD700X USD155

ATH-AD900X USD260

There are Beyers as well but I doubt they'd be on offer.

Urgent help! I'm personally thinking the 700X and 900X is better over the M50's but would like some quick justification before this Friday.

Will pair with a Fiio E10(99% chance of buying).

TYVM!!!

AD900(preferably non X)>ATH M50>AD700(again preferably non X), but if any Beyerdynamic is on sale(like DT 770/ DT 880/ DT990 or the Custom One Pro) is a no brainer.

Hope it helped!

That's not really good prices for them assuming you live in the states.

Anything but the M50's will be good. They are an OKAY headphone, but if you can get the 700x's for the same price, go for it.

If you live in the states, the 900x's are $200

Get any Beyer that's on sale, otherwise get the ATH-AD900.

Would the Custom One Pro be lacking soundstage as its closed back? I play FPS so just a tad of concern in that respect. I am aware the 700/900's are unparalleled in soundstage for the price range so yeah. Alil confirmation/advice regarding that would greatly conclude my purchase tomorrow!

I'll make sure I have a good listen to all at the shop. Thanks man!

I haven't heard a difference in this mythical "sound stage" everyone keeps talking about between headphones/earbuds I've acutally tried, so I dunno what to tell ya. However, I think the Custom One Pros have a price premium on them as they're designed for mobile devices, but that could just be me making up conspiracy theories again.

woooo

Lol. Decided the Custom One Pro's price is a turn off where I am. Moreover, its not a highly rated set of cans compared to 880 even on stereophile. Nvm, will save up for 880/HD600!
