Hey all! I'm planning to upgrade my current computer to higher level. I asked my friend's assistance first, but he wasn't really sure what should i do, so he recommended me this website. My aim for upgrading this pc is to make it more a gaming pc.  I currently live in Finland. This is currently my pc's specs (btw this pc is a factory made pc):

Upgrading budget: 300-400€

I'd like to hear is it worth to upgrade this pc to today's gaming pc standards or just build a new one.

I would get a new case and board, looks like the board doesn't even have a PCIe slot

edit nvm looked at details

Sandy board, it's okay - a 2500 second hand is a good option for leftover cash

It's a nice i3 CPU and it should be able to handle well, just to be sure though, are you interested in overclocking? How much RAM does the computer have? And how much are you looking to spend on a graphics card?

Not really interested in overclocking. I remember my brother doing it though. Didn't end up very well for him. RAM is 8GB. I think i could spend around 150-250€ for the graphics card.

8GB is enough for gaming, I'm not the best with graphic cards and their prices so maybe someone else can help there.

Not really sure about the memory speed though, do you know your RAM speed is?

120GB be enough? Pretty tight!

that's just the SSD - he has a HDD

Ehhhh.... Yeah I would HIGHLY recommend getting a new board and memory, that is anciently slow

his memory is 1333 - programs display it as 666 but it's 1333

DDR3 666 does NOT exist and Sandy is DDR3 only

You think that will be fast enough? I think it should be for a start

RAM speed is irrelevant - my friend has DDR2 800 and he's doing fine.
