Do you think the XFX 450W can handle the i3/GTX950? I picked that since I knew the brand had reliable PSUs but I can up the wattage a little bit and get a 500W from Corsair or Thermaltake

Yes, even a good 350W PSU can handle that system. The XFX you are talking about is better than Corsair and Thermalfake at that price range.

Would go for MSI due to 1 fan, however I have both an MSI R9 390 and a Palit GT610 and they are both superbly designed graphics cards!
