Hello all,

I am putting together a build for college and after many hours of building my PC on pcpartpicker.com I hope I have the right power supply.  I'm going with a 750 watt Corsair one, do you guys think that is enough or overkill? PCPartPicker says the total wattage is 441w (with a i7 4790k) but I watched a few YouTube benchmarks/reviews and on full load it was using around 350w so I just thought what the heck 750w just to be safe. Am I fine with a 750w or can I downsize a little say to a 650 just to save a few buck and maybe have a wider selection? Also some other people have said that the power supply I have selected is not good for gaming builds, is this true?

Link to my build if it matters: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2bP8pg

Thank you all.

Thank you all.

Oh lol, 750W is overkill but that PSU is not. Get one of decent quality like an EVGA GQ/GS/G2/B2 of about 650W.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

XFX TS 550W will do nicely. The 650W model is only slightly more and would give a bit more headroom. The Coolermaster VSM 650W is another unit to consider.
