So I getting two BenQ XL2411Z monitors and they don't have sound so I was wondering what speakers I should get to connect to my IO audio. Main uses for the speakers will be listen to music, maybe to listening to livestreams and sometimes game audio. Price I would like it to be under US$100 and preferably black to match my monitors (a little red won't hurt).

Also if it is within the $0-$100 price range I would like speakers that come with its own controller so I don't have to mute/unmute and control volume via the volume sliders on the monitor(I have no idea what it is called. Bottom right of screen) Thanks everyone.

Do you play football/soccer?

Take a look at the klipsch promedia 2.1. I've used them for the past few months, and for the price, they don't disappoint. On bestbuy, you can find them open box for $100.

Logitech Z333 is perfect for this. It has it's own controller, it's black, good mids and highs with booming bass (2.1) I have it and love it.

Instead of speakers with an audio controller consider getting an amp, like the SMSL SA36 (for about $50, or the Lepai 2020 for about $25 but it looks uglier).  Then get passive speakers.  I plan on getting 2 Micca MB42-C (the center channel version of the MB42, they just have a better shape for desk use) which are $25 right each right now.  Then in a couple months get the cross over upgrade from Micca for $20 each speaker, which turns it into a completely different, better speaker apparently.

Sure it's not as easy as buying a set of 2.1 computer speakers, but you'll get much better sound.
