4770k & AsRock Extreme 4 Adaptive Voltage?

Hey, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I think I've posted about this before, but couldn't figure out how to find the previous post.

Running a 4770k @ 4.5GHz, Cache @ 3.5Ghz, Override Voltage at 1.29v.

Been like this for a year now, stable in the likes of Intel Burn Test and Aida64.

I use my Pc to stream content to my Chromecast often, and I'm just wasting electricity with Override on the voltage.

Can some please explain how Adaptive Voltage works, and how I can tell how much I need to add or takeaway from the voltage to get it stable using Adaptive?

EDIT: I've attached a picture of the settings in question I need to change in order to set it to Adaptive.
