Add an SSD.  Like a 250GB 850 EVO and get a WD blue instead of Black.

You're gonna want an aftermarket cooler, be sure that you don't tighten it down a ton, just enough to keep it secure.

Do you think I should get a cooler? I mean I got a locked processor so I won't be overclocking or anything... Although I am a little skeptical on the thermals that the 390x will produce. I could invest in a 212 evo or something like that, but do you think I'd be okay without it?

yeah if i was overclocking i'd for sure get one, but I think my temps will be fine considering skylake isn't exactly the hottest-running generation

Eh they were pretty much complimentary, as it's not like skylake k models had lower launch prices due to having no cooler.
