Wait for Z6 or Buy Z5

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if it would be better to buy the Sony Xperia Z5 now or wait for their "rumoured" Z6 launch early next year at CSW (or in the following weeks)?

They're all very similar. Z5 if you're in a rush, Z6 otherwise.

I'd wait and see if it's worth the upgrade and if not go with the Z5 (Price always drops after new model releases)

I'd wait for the Z6, the SD820 alone would be reason enough to switch to it.

Sony has a very rapid release for their Z phones, you could wait, but then you'd be back to square 1, jump on the Z6 or wait for the Z7 that's not too far away.

 

The Z6 will probably be released around March/April time with the Z7 coming around mid september unless Sony decides to slow down their releases (released doesn't necessarily mean 'available in your country').

 

On a more serious note, it might be worth waiting since Qualcomm is due an announcement for new SOCs. Personally, I can't see Sony using the 810 for a 3rd time so it's likely that you'd see an 820. Though given the overheating issues that the 810 (and the 615 IIRC), it'd be worth waiting a bit to see how the 820 plays out.
