Shiftwear - Video Playing Sneakers

Because we don’t have enough glowing screens in our lives, now they’re on sneakers, too.

Meet ShiftWear high tops, a pair of customizable kicks decked out with curved electronic displays on their sides. With the touch of a companion mobile app, they appear to light up with undulating images and GIF-like looping animations, all in full HD color.

I'm not a sneaker head or anything. But when I saw this it caught my eye. I was curious what the asking price for something like this was and to my surprise it was reasonable starting at $150. I was a bit discouraged to see that this was being funded on Indiegogo though. I never participated in any crowd funding affairs and are hesitant after seeing many products never get to see the light of day. But I am considering giving it a go I think it would be so cool to turn heads with a pair of these.  :D -taveric

I think it's a pretty cool idea, though a tad expensive for me.

Can't wait for this to be ruined by people having porn on their shoes. Or hacked into them.

These look like trash. Not the shoe part but the gif display part. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those.

Just need a $45 /year symantec Dr.Scholls subscription and you'll be good to go.  I've found a new respect for Fred Flintstone suddenly.
