Amazon nooooooooo

I need a laptop for a trip soon, so I began restoring mine and installing arch on it so it was use-able. However, the battery is screwed. It lasts about 3 minutes without a charger and the battery percentage sensor says its at about 88% when it dies. 6 Days before I left I ordered some offbrand battery with good reviews that should last about 5-7 hours without charging for $23. After checking out, they give me the estimate delivery date of a day after I leave. I'm pretty annoyed. I know its not really amazons fault but I figured using prime even during the holidays they should be able to still respect the 2-day shipping, at-least enough to get it here within 6 days. So is there a chance it might get here before then or am I f*cked?

so, i'm gonna just toss this idea:

buying replacement batteries for laptops is hilareously expensive.

buy some quality brand cells and replace the cells on your own, it'll probably be cheaper, and thanks to battery technology probably last considerably longer than your original battery used to.

EDIT: for future reference, that is.

Well I mean $23 for increasing my battery life by 120x isn't too bad. Hp was trying to charge $100 for something even worse.

Heh, I know that bad luck feeling. :P

I should start looking into the phat batteries for my E4300 as some "insurance," since this old stock one seems to be showing its age more.

Oh well give amazon a call and they might can send you another one out quick and make you send the other one back when it gets delivered. They did that for me for free when I went on a business trip

I suppose I could try calling them, but as it currently stands I won't be here when it gets delivered.
