how do i open this file, what ever I try it wont work?  thank you.

Even better, get ninite to do it for you: http://ninite.com/7zip

Some antivirus programs have a shit fit with ninite, like AVG. Honestly 7z's installer is easy enough to use. But ninite is nice when you have a bunch of different things to install

Weird, first time I'm hearing this. Never had any issues with AVG + ninite... Oh well, as long as OP is happy :)
