Corsair rm650 vs rm650x

Alex Sinov
Go to solution Solved by Alex Sinov,

Thanks guys, I ordered a RM650x.

Hi all,

I'm writing this after reading this thread.

I'm really wondering why the RMx is better that the regular RM, since it is cheaper. Here in Romania the RMx's pricing starts at 115$, whereas the RM starts at 130$

Anyone care to explain this to me?

Thanks!

PS If I should've continued the thread linked above, sorry. Admins, feel free to merge the two threads, with my apologies.

The RM series is overpriced. They use cheaper secondary caps, as opposed to the full Japanese caps of the RMx series. I can only think that the RM series is more expensive due to stock levels. Go for the RMx, it's a better unit.

The RMx is the new model, which is based on the Rmi series. In Spain the RM is also more expensive, dont know why.The RMx is the one you should buy

RMx and RMi are the successors to the RM.

iirc the only difference between the x and i is that the i has corsair link (which is frankly a bit unnessary). but both are better than the RM
